Not only does all the food either come from their farm upstate or from similar places in the region, the service is impeccable (and fun.) Everything I have ever had there was excellent and unique. The room itself is also lovely. And should need to take a date somewhere nice, but not outrageous - this is your place.

My particular favorite happens to be the largest one - Union Square. Some operate only seasonally, so be careful! You won't regret making the effort to visit these markets on the days that they are open to stock up on amazing fresh cheese, fruits, fish, poultry, veggies, and baked goods - just to name a few!



John Varvatos - www.johnvarvatos.com I love this place. The store in Soho is my personal favorite, but the clothes are universal. If I was a guy, I would wear only Le Varvatos. Hell, I try to wear the clothes now. Everyone who works there is exceptionally helpful and kind. You know, they make a sincere effort to say hi and chat you up - but not in the weird way. Love 'em.
